Whether bees have a future?

When we regale on fragrant and curative honey, seldom thinks that in the future this sweet can become a scarce product. The problem of preservation of bees as look becomes especially actual in recent years. Now threat proceeds from an ecological condition of fields from - for a surplus of pesticides. The British scientists stated pessimistic forecasts that a turn several decades of a bee as a species can disappear.

Sharp reduction of number of bees led to the fact that beekeepers from around the world began to sound alarm. Big fears are caused by the fact that the bee swarm often leaves a beehive. There was a new special term “syndrome of destruction of colonies (bee families)“. At the same time bees fly away in the unknown direction. This phenomenon was for the first time described in the USA in 2006 and subsequently began to be observed in the European countries, Latin America and Taiwan. Beekeepers are very concerned by it as there is a considerable reduction of population.

The mass death of bees is observed worldwide. Scientists made experiments and came to a conclusion that toxic chemicals are the reason for that. The main problem consists that practically all agricultural grounds are processed by pesticides and herbicides. And the bees collecting nectar from it perish. Special danger is constituted by colza. As the culture is not intended in food, it more the others is processed “chemistry“. It is noticed that in those places where colza which is sprayed several times grows, bees leave beehives more often.

Besides, climate change often leads to colder winters, and it is more difficult to bees to endure them. Not the last role is played by plants with GMO. Probably, insects are sensitive to change of the nature and cannot live in such conditions. Also beekeepers note that the amount of buckwheat honey as bees not really love a hybrid buckwheat decreases.

Bees are very susceptible to viruses and parasites. Their mass death can lead to ecological disruption, they take active part in pollination of plants. These insects are included in a difficult bioecological chain, and their loss from this link can lead to serious changes in environment.

Besides, bee-keepers complain of small demand on medical at the population. From - for low sales many apiaries cannot develop and extend. The most part of farms are small and private. Beekeepers say that it is possible to sell honey independently directly to the population only in small volumes. Many are ready to expand production, but at the same time industrial purchase of honey is made at very low prices. In this case labor costs do not correspond to cost.

Many people mistrustfully treat honey as a food product as are afraid of fakes which counters of shops are full. There are many ways to check naturalness of honey, but often the problem consists that in shop the jar cannot be opened. Many recommend to buy medical directly from the producer, but it is not always possible. Residents of northern areas and big cities often have no access to beekeeping farms.

For development of branch the World Association of Beekeeping Associations was created to unite all who go in for beekeeping. Members of Association are more than 3,5 million representatives from 115 countries. Since 1897, times in two years in the different cities of the world carry out the international congress of Apimondiya where all who are connected with beekeeping gather.

The purpose of Association - to draw public attention and government structures to need of preservation of bees. This global problem can be solved only together at the international level. Use of pesticides in agriculture has to be regulated by the state. But it can not always be made as well-being of nation in many respects depends on a harvest of crops. Ecologists insist on use of safe means for pest control.

Besides, it is necessary to carry out plantings of plants - melliferous herbs. They emits most of all nectar and pollen. The linden and an acacia are considered as the most productive plants, but except them there are some more tens plants where bees collect nectar. Beekeepers recommend to plant plants - melliferous herbs near the rivers, roads, small settlements.

Bees give us one of the most valuable food. It is noted that among long-livers there are many beekeepers. The honey spoon in the morning and in the evening not only will strengthen health. The more demand for honey at people, the is more than chances that bees will be kept as a species and will please us with a sweet useful product.
