Yugmotorshou - 2015

the Subject of electric cars is in Russia as such far and poor relative - commercially own perspective projects, behind some exception while at a stage it is more theoretical, and sales of production foreign models are estimated in units. It is not necessary to speak about any rapid development of this subject and from private designing, especially about creation of full-fledged cars on electrodraft. But examples are: we got acquainted with one of individual projects - the electric car “Makhaon“ which is declared as the candidate for participation Yugmotorshou who is coming on September 26 - 27 in Krasnodar.

Looking at this three-wheeled device with the streamline fiberglass case and purely electric drive, it is possible to think that before us an alternative concept on electric cars. But when you learn that reserved the course of only 30 km, and speed no more than 35 km/h, you understand that the car nevertheless from the category of highly specialized. At the same time the author - Igor Goncharov from Krasnodar - positions it as a working prototype of city transport of the future, it is only one of several works of the author in this direction, and on the future there are plans (but so far at limited opportunities) to continue it.

There Is an Opinion that development of motor transport went on a false way at the beginning of the 20th century. Already then there were quite real projects of electric cars, but everything was prevented by World War I for which cars with engines on oil fuel were more suitable, more effective. Here oil tycoons “took advantage of the opportunity“. And since then all of us are hostages of internal combustion engines and at the same time appetites of powerful corporations that “placed“ the whole world on hydrocarbons. After World War II about mass development of the movement on electrodraft of the speech did not go very long too, generally it concerned special equipment. And only in the last decade several projects of serial electric cars, not excepting domestic EL Lada on the basis of the Guelder-rose station wagon were realized already.

But also now all these full-fledged, in general, cars did not turn an automobilization vector towards independence of oil yet, only the small “electromagnetic“ deviation was outlined. It would seem, at such cars, except an ecological component, there is one big advantage - it is not necessary to be spent for gasoline or diesel fuel, and expenses on the electric power many times it is less. However the problem with energy generation is still not solved: modern accumulators remain heavy, provide rather small stock of the course on one charging and demand time (and places) on this procedure.

It is cars of city use, for travel such transport is not considered yet, as well as in general for severe service conditions.

So, in the winter energy consumption of systems of the electric car increases, and in the conditions of the same Siberia or Yakutia, with their infinite open spaces, it is just impossible to go from one settlement to another on “one electricity“.

Well and one of the main counterbalances to all advantages - the price. Even EL Lada costs more than one million rubles, and initially in this project domestic components were planned, but then all “element base“ appeared nevertheless foreign. If to speak about the most advanced electric cars, such as Tesla, then the price there at all eloquent. Besides batteries have the service life (about five years), and replacement will demand such expenses that it “will eat“ that money that were saved on fuel.

That is “electrification“ of automobile transport demands both breakthrough technologies, and target programs at the state level, but so far it is more favorable to corporations to sell oil and gas. The high price of fuel, but where a guarantee that the electric power will not rise in price could become incentive to “revolution“? By the way, on open spaces of the former USSR where fuel price especially bites, private attempts of alterations of serial cars - not such and exotic. For example, in Ukraine it happened to see “Tavriya“ at which instead of DVS the electric motor is established, and almost all luggage carrier is occupied by joint stock banks. Probably, in it there is some exit, but, obviously, not for all.

Electrodraft is involved in “small forms“ already rather actively - bicycles and mopeds with the drive from an electric motor not a rarity. Moreover, it is possible to avoid handicraft receptions in construction of electric cars or even at re-equipment of production automobile models - for this purpose there are factory knots and components. However, they are made not at us and cost expensive

Actually, the author of “Makhaon“ Igor Goncharov from Krasnodar began with small, with construction of three-wheeled cycle taxi (or, perhaps, trishaws) in 2008, and the option with the fiberglass case even won awards. Then already works on replacement of the pedal drive by electric began. And the way to it is not casual at all: Igor graduated from the Kuban state university, faculty of economic geography, in the same place postgraduate study in due time, and defended the dissertation on city transport. Now undertook also public work on the organization of the movement “Kuban - a Retro“. Once offered the ideas of city ecological transport for development in production scales, but financial sources on it were not.

Therefore at the moment it is necessary to be engaged in this subject independently. The park so far existing small and specific, but all cars are involved on concrete appointment. There are two “Ants“ changed under a passenger taxi on electrodraft, the three-wheeled truck with the trailer, and here now two walking “Makhaona“, embodying practical expediency with the original fiberglass case.

It is interesting to note a situation of the birth of these electric cars. They become in the rented box of the former plant “Selmash“ - once large Soviet enterprise, one of hundreds for the country which stopped existence after the known events 90 - x. The self-made electric car goes on ruins of shops, and all this surroundings - as a symbolical picture with the current situation: ideas of singles are still forced to huddle in own world among industrial “apocalypse“.

We will not see progressive technologies in these machines - in fact, these are the simplest products on the basis of already existing approaches, and “element base“ - electric motors, control units and chargers - are bought, as well as a lot of things now, at “world factory“, that is in China. Of course, with some local completions and improvements.

By “Makhaon“ it is not calculated on public roads, and focused on excursion trips in park zones. Therefore also characteristics very moderate. The scheme of the chassis with a frame and a suspension bracket is made by the “bicycle“ principle, a forward fork, back shock-absorbers and wheels are borrowed from small-sized mopeds. Development of design of a fiberglass body together with wings and its production on “a full cycle“ - from beginning to end independent. That is manually the model was cut out from polyfoam, then it was lined, cut on part, matrixes, then a stitching, an oshkurivaniye, painting became. Fiber glass is used with polyair here - unlike epoxy, it turns out stronger and more plastic, the blow holds such case better.

The general configuration can remind early cars with a body a phaeton - the single place for the driver ahead and a passenger sofa behind. And passengers sit above the driver, than the best is provided for them the review. The body is executed a streamline shape, with characteristic proportions and the nasal part reminding birds or sea inhabitants. Igor explains that the concept of the electric car when developing of the made narrower design of a body appealed only to two elements - air and water, from here and a special styling. The forward part of a roof is made of plexiglas, back lateral glasses or peaks - from a rain are also provided.

All power part is located behind and looks very simply, except for some nuances. The motor without collector, that is without brushes, with a rotor - a magnet, there are no rubbing details, and in general such units are considered more reliable and durable. They are carried to fruits of modern progress though similar schemes were known at an automobilization dawn, just owing to specifics then there were no technologies for their effective use. Now during an era of development of electronics the problem disappeared - the control unit, as they say, is applied, as well as the charger.

The motor in this case 750 - watt, has the built-in planetary reducer, and together with the chain drive on one wheel (left) the transfer relation 5:1 is provided. But a chain - it is temporary - the compelled option, and inherently archaic. The scheme of configuration of the motor in the block with a power shaft, as on modern electric cars will be applied further. And here the existing options about the motor - the wheel scheme will not be used - in this case the shock loadings from the road directly going on a sensitive rotor quickly “kill“ him.

As for a power source, it is four 12 here - volt gel the accumulator the capacity of each 55 Ach, connected consistently, that is give voltage of 48 volts. From the regular charger fill forces approximately in eight hours, as usual, but already our experts - electricians finished the device, and charging from a usual network is made in 2,5 hours. Here, in general, and everything, as for technical part. And here about management - it is necessary to be passed.

“Furniture“ of salon, as well as a body, is executed independently, including a basis and a form of seats. Driving - as on the moped, but you sit incomparably more imposingly and securely: nevertheless here a convenient chair with a high back, walls and a windshield with a roof - a cockpit! And if to consider that the fork is taken out forward and the wheel is raised, there are some associations with such chopper in option with a fairing. By the way, footboards with a pedal of a back brake are made adjustable, legs can be extended, and then landing really becomes peculiar.

There is no “coupling“, at the left on a wheel the handle of a forward brake, and on the right only the handle of “gas“. There is still an ignitions key closing a chain - included, and everything, it is possible to reap on “gas“. In the handle the electromagnetic selector from which signal receives the control unit and, depending on position of the handle, gives the necessary current on the motor. Start!

For want of habit it is impossible to start smoothly, the device literally tears forward, electricity - force! If it is necessary, it is possible to amuse itself intensive dispersal, but settings such that speed quickly “rests against the limiter“. The motor does not roar, but also not silent so to defile unnoticed it will not turn out. But on any road options two electrosignals are provided here: one soft, in the form of a welcome trill, and here on an emergency loud - concrete such “fa - fa“. Also music is not forgotten - the audio system useful on the way is installed not really powerful, but nevertheless.

The reverse, of course, too is, joins a small key, and in this mode the motor realizes about 30% of power - is so programmed. In principle, it is possible to make both an electric brake, and even the recovery mode, but in this case there is no practical need for it. At so small speeds the effect of braking is shown and just at return of the handle to situation zero.

Contrary to expectations, the radius of a turn was small - about 2,5 meters that does the machine quite maneuverable in the constrained conditions. Taking into account a form and dimensions it seems that it can squeeze in any space. But the main thing, at those speeds on which it is calculated by “Makhaon“ is not present tendency to a zavalivaniye though the narrow track hinted at such behavior. At the fork which is taken out forward distribution of weight - in favor of back wheels, the back suspension bracket taking into account its load is made rigid, with four “racks“, and the machine in turns keeps not bad.

But also potholes are perceived coldly - the suspension bracket course small and very elastic. On a driver`s seat of it almost you do not feel, and here if one you are on a passenger sofa, then yes, involuntarily you complain that third-party paths need under repair too. By the way, the passenger sofa was convenient, with a good stock of the place for legs and for the head, here only on width dimensions are limited, and there is no luggage carrier per se where it is possible to throw things.

The general dimensions are known: length of 3,2 meters, width of 1,2 meters, height of 1,8 meters, the loading capacity of 350 kg, but is still unknown weight - the car was not weighed yet.

On an electric power expense approximately counted in clear for all figures - the cost of each charging about 40 rubles (run on one charging of 30 km or a little more - everything depends on the movement mode).

To what it is possible to compare “Makhaon“? In this case the suitable option represented other type of the walking electric car made by Igor earlier on the basis of a usual motor scooter “Ant“.

Except for a superstructure of passenger “bed“ instead of a cargo body, in general it is the same motor scooter which instead of the native engine has a block of accumulators, and the electric motor is attached to a regular back reducer.

In principle, all this is solved increase in installed power per employee, a question only in means and tasks.

So, on self-made three-wheeled “pickup“ two electric motors, on each back wheel, with a general power of 1,5 kW, with the increased transfer relation are established, and drags this utilitarian truck quietly to half-ton of weight or even more, taking into account the trailer. Power tension also 48 volts, but here already and eight accumulators (on four on each motor), only they smaller dimensions and capacity.

As it was already told above, today the choice of elements and schemes for construction of electric cars - business of means and objectives. Same “Makhaon“, with construction cost about 100 000 rubles, is intended for trips around pedestrian zones and it is impossible to wait from it for something more because of design features. But at Igor the project of the electromoped with 1,5 - the kilowatt motor on which it will be possible to fit quietly into any city stream of the movement already ripens and at the same time to remain mobile in jams. The budget of such equipment is estimated approximately at 65 000 rubles.

Also in plans construction of already four-wheel electric car with two motors with a general power of 6 kW. It has to be not only the car fast and original externally, but also with advanced mechanical (without any chain transfers) and electric part. For example, with more modern batteries though they will dictate considerable part of the budget.
