Small doses - the second principle of homeopathy

When Ganeman made the first experiments, including the well-known “cinchonic experiment“, he took all medicine in very high doses as it and was accepted at that time, and in concentration one to one, without cultivation in any solvent. All Europe at that time considered that, than medicine and the its more, the better, and on the one who tried to approve the return is stronger, looked very watchfully. And though Ganeman treated that to the few which were not afraid to oppose the developed traditions, but even years before he drew the next decisive conclusion were necessary for him.

Starting preparation of drugs, parting them in ratios 1:100, and then 1:1000 and more (degree of a concentration of medicinal substance is called cultivation, division or a potentiality in homeopathy), Ganeman found out that under certain conditions they not only keep the medical force, but even increase it. Originally more all he was struck with this opening, repeatedly calling it “unprecedented“, “improbable“, “telling the amazed world about the actions made by million, billion part of a gran of drugs“ (gran - pharmaceutical weight in 62,2 mg in the Russian and 64,8 mg in English systems). And if to consider that it also until now remains unclear for many (as it to treat medicine in which there is no medicinal substance left; a pier, it not treatment, and at best auto-suggestion), it is possible to imagine that effect which Ganeman`s opening had on his contemporaries. They just refused to listen to it.

History kept for us certificates of one of our famous compatriots, the author of the Explanatory dictionary of living great Russian language - V. I. Dahl, the researcher, the doctor, the writer. It is known that from 1823 to 1828 Dahl studied in Derpta at medical university and witnessed heated arguments between supporters and opponents of homeopathy. These disputes among educated people of that time (and not only among physicians) could be observed everywhere. Both in Germany, and across all Europe, including Russia. The new medical doctrine Ganeman for the first time after Paracelsus stirred up a stagnant bog of medical thought again.

Having graduated from the university and being already a medical officer in field army during the Turkish campaign, working then in Kiev, Poland and St. Petersburg, Dahl wrote in the articles since peculiar youth with fervor:“ In the basis the homeopathy is nonsense, proofs and its references - lie and a lie“. “An iatrotechnics organon“ he called the main work of Ganeman “a monument of delusion of mind human“. But there passes not enough time, and in 1833, working in Orenburg, Dahl becomes the witness and the participant of treatment of the seriously ill patient of the chief of police when only thanks to efforts of the local homeopath Lessing it was succeeded to improve a condition of the patient. Mistrust to homeopathy was shaken.“ I was convinced, - he still carefully in the letter to Odoevsky, - wrote that these means work sometimes surprisingly soon, it is strong and saving“. It is struck by brilliant effect of treatment of a croup at own son with a homeopathic method and “mistrust to it of doctors and even a possibility of dispute on a new method of treatment“ surprises.

History of the Russian and world homeopathy knows many known names. Despite the revolutionism, the homeopathy turned out so democratic in relation to the patient, especially in comparison with the barbarous ways of treatment of “old medical school“ continuing to occur then that many public figures, having personally convinced of practical results, became not just her supporters, but active distributors. It is enough to call two a name: admiral N. S. Mordvinov and participant of battles of Patriotic war of 1812 S. N. Korsakov. Being a person brilliantly educated, Korsakov himself treated patients, corresponded with Ganeman and offered the own way of receiving homeopathic cultivations approved by Ganeman. Since then this way and is called in world homeopathic practice - “according to Korsakov“.

Preparation of drugs - the third principle of homeopathy

To Ganeman pharmacology - the science studying the effect of drugs - was actually near that level on which it was put by Galen more than one and a half thousand years ago. The cases of test of some drugs practicing certain doctors on themselves remained only cases. So-called production prepared for Galenovo drugs which were tested mainly on animals. And it was clear. Because practice of drug intake in concentration one to one and in those huge doses which were accepted in case of the slightest mistake did not leave any chances of a survival for the patient.

Ganeman introduced in broad practice test of drugs not on animals for the first time, and on healthy people. “Each medicine, - Ganeman emphasized, - has on a body of the person the special effect which any other medicinal substance of other type does not make in precisely the same way“. It turned out that each medicine has as if “portrait“ - a set of “attacks“ which it is capable to cause in the healthy person.“ The physiognomy“ as much I. P. Pavlov will tell later. Ganeman for the long life left about 60 such “portraits“ of drugs. The arsenal of the means used in homeopathy nowadays contains about two thousand names.

by

In broad homeopathic practice since the time of Ganeman most often use two scales of cultivations (there are still LM - potentialities - a fifty-thousand scale) initial medicinal substance (basis) in a neutral thinner: decimal (it is designated by a letter D or the Roman figure X) and centesimal (it is designated by a letter C or without letter). Therefore, depending on on what scale medicine is originally made, a basis in it can be 1/10 or 1/100. It will also be respectively the first decimal l (D1) or the first centesimal C1 (1) cultivation (a potentiality, division). If it is required to prepare the second decimal (or centesimal) cultivation, then from the first cultivation undertakes only 1/10 (or respectively 1/100) part and in a special way mixes up with 9/10 (or according to 99/100) parts of a neutral thinner. It will already be the second decimal 2 (D2) or second centesimal C2 (2) cultivation. And so on. It is simple to notice that the first centesimal cultivation (1) corresponds to the second decimal (2), second centesimal (C2) - to the fourth decimal (4) etc. (see the tab. on p. 116).

In Russia cultivations to 3, 3 inclusive are considered as

as low cultivations (potentialities); averages - to 12 inclusive; high - to 30 and above. Some homeopathists use cultivations 1000 and above. In the West, especially in the USA, work with very high cultivations.

But receiving homeopathic drugs and the principle of “small doses“, consists not only in reduction of concentration of a basis. Not less or maybe process of grinding or stirring of the prepared preparation is considered more important. This process at which there is an interaction of a basis to a thinner is called process of a dinamization of medicinal substance in homeopathy. And in spite of the fact that know about it even less, than about the homeopathy and this process in a space age seems very archaic, he allowed Ganeman to use in homeopathy practically any natural substances, for example platinum, gold or copper. And the fact that magnificent drugs can become lead marble, phosphorus or even white river sand, and came to nobody to mind. Everyone knew that any of these substances is not dissolved neither in water, nor in alcohol. Unless in some acids absolutely not suitable for the internal use.

I so was until Ganeman did not publish the opening. Having tried a set of options, he offered any of above-mentioned substances, whether it be mercury, phosphorus or gold, to fray dry page. sugar. And by such technique after which all of them, so insoluble even in many acids, became without any rest soluble in simple water.

all began

A with the fact that when Ganeman began to reduce consistently concentration of medicinal substances, at a certain stage he found decrease in their medical effect. The arising some kind of “barrier of inertness“ of the diluted substances was represented so obvious that should not especially and have surprised. And therefore it seemed quite natural to finish experiments in this direction, having stopped concentration (a subtlety of “small doses“) where - nibud on one hundred-thousandth from initial substance. It quite would be enough to throw the contemporaries in shock. But Ganeman went further. He suggested to pound a basis in sugar powder until its concentration does not decrease to one million!

the Scrupulous technique offered by Ganeman was as follows (in the main thing there is it invariable to this day).

One gran any previously crushed substance and one third of hundred gran of dry dairy sugar was pounded with a force within 6 minutes a porcelain pestle in a porcelain mortar. The turned-out structure within 4 minutes was unstuck a porcelain shovel from walls of a mortar and from a pestle, at the same time mixing it in homogeneous mass. Again 6 minutes pounded and 4 minutes unstuck. On such two-phasic grinding with the first third of sugar 20 minutes left. After that the second third of hundred gran of sugar was added, and all operation repeated within 20 minutes again. At last the last third of sugar was added, and two-phasic grinding followed again. And it was only grinding of the first degree. On it one hour, and each part of the received powder left contained after that 1/100 from initial substance (basis).

From this structure only one undertook gran substances again, and within an hour all procedure repeated about new 100 granam of sugar. After the second hour of such three-stage grinding in one of new powder contained 1/10000 bases. And after the third hour in new 100 grana of sugar the maintenance of a basis was carried to one million.

I occurred here what to Ganeman was known by neither chemistry, nor pharmacology. All natural substances, including precious metals, became soluble both in water, and in vodno - spirit solution. What Paracelsus could not make, Ganeman made. In other big work - “Chronic diseases“ it gives many examples of receiving medicines from natural substances, before never being considered as medical. It is an ordinary oyster sink, a sea cuttlefish - sepia, oil, mercury and many other things. “Who met soluble in clear water without the rest marble or oyster sinks?! - Ganeman exclaimed. - Or quartz which crystals water is capable to keep in the to captivity in the millennia!.“

But also this opening was made by Ganeman as if by the way. The doctor of medicine and the doctor of chemistry, he nevertheless considered as the main task not dissolution of substances, but receiving medicines from them. Process of a dinamization (friction) allowed it not only to break “an inertness barrier“ of the diluted substances, but also to sharply strengthen their medicinal influence. Those substances which and without friction were dissolved in water or alcohol, but gradually lost the salutary forces in process of dilution, now began to come to life again. Besides, than Ganeman dissolved substances by the technique more, especially they began to make deep impact on a human body.

in

However, the further technique of cultivation of medicinal substances offered by Ganeman significantly differs from previous. Having brought cultivation of a medicinal basis in medicamentous powder to one million and having made it, thus, soluble in simple water or in alcohol, Ganeman carried out further cultivation already in a liquid state, but in the same ratios. At each next step of cultivation of medicine degree of concentration of its basis decreased by 10 times (at a decimal scale of cultivations) or by 100 times (at a centesimal scale). And, when we see on a box with homeopathic medicine, for example with round balls - granules, the designation “30“, it means that the medicinal basis was diluted on a centesimal scale (that is it is hundredfold) consistently thirty times and only after that was applied on sugar balls - granules.

A how to be with “an inertness barrier“ of the diluted substances now when in a liquid state there was impossible a process of friction? How not to allow to die away in the course of dilution to salutary forces? And Ganeman suggested to replace process of friction with process of vigorous stirrings (agitations) of the diluted substances in a glass container. It would seem that here special?! But without agitations there was “an inertness barrier“ again.

So, arisen was at a certain stage “inertness barrier“ of the diluted substances - some kind of “sound barrier“ in pharmacology - it was overcome. But also the opposite effect was subject to homeopathy: not only to awake in substances the salutary forces hidden in them, but also to moderate them where it is necessary.“ Many other substances, - Ganeman wrote, - opposite, possess so strong influence that even at the smallest doses, coming into contact with fibers of an animal origin, burn them and destroy (arsenic, corrosive sublimate). The homeopathy is able not only to moderate their influence, but also to use until then their unknown curative properties“. Also it first of all concerned poisons. Already Paracelsus considered that “all poison, only one dose does substance by poison or medicine“. But Paracelsus did not dare to go as far yet as Ganeman. How cardinally properties of poisons at their considerable cultivation change, the table shows (below). Homeopathic practice confirms that ischezayushche small dosages of substance in homeopathic medicines work exactly the opposite. Reducing concentration of initial substance, the homeopathic medicine as if reduces effect of its primary action, at the same time increasing effect of the counteraction mobilizing protective forces of an organism. As a result only after emergence of homeopathy became possible to tell: the poison is stronger, the medicine from it is stronger.

Many confuse a travolecheniye (phytotherapy) to homeopathy. Really, about 60% of homeopathic drugs - a phytogenesis (about 30% - mineral and about 10% - an animal). But on it similarity also comes to an end. Not to mention poisons, phytotherapy traditionally keeps in relation to them at a certain distance. Does not know a travolecheniye and potentiations, in this sense where the travolecheniye comes to an end, the homeopathy only begins.

So, cardinal cultivation of the strongest poisons on an equal basis with potentiation of the prepared preparations (potentiation - cultivation of a preparation with its dinamization at each stage of cultivation) allowed to move apart beyond all bounds borders of homeopathic pharmacology and if not today, then already tomorrow to find in the storeroom of the Nature that it is especially necessary for mankind. The homeopathy is only 200 years old.

Today homeopathy not that that was at the time of Ganeman. The saved-up experience of computer technology opens before it rich prospects. And though the mechanism of action of homeopathic drugs is up to the end not installed, practical results of homeopaths around the world force scientists everything to try to open these secrets more insistently.
