It is undoubted that at first the person transferred to the gardens the best wild-growing forms of this plant from the wood. And only from the middle of the XIX century into Russia began to import the first foreign grades of currant - Neapolitan, Ogden, then there was Leah fertile, and at the beginning of the XX century - a grade Sanders, Cherry, Bing of the apostle. In Europe and Russia (to the Urals inclusive) descendants of the European subspecies of blackcurrant to whom black coloring of berries is peculiar most often got to culture generally though forms with belovato - yellow and green fruits meet. Zelenoplodny forms were noted in posterity of the grade of blackcurrant Otzhebin relating to the Scandinavian group and which served as a fundamental principle of assortment of this culture in Sweden, Norway and Finland.

To the east of the Urals to winter-hardy representatives of the Siberian subspecies of blackcurrant. In 30 - e years of the XX century in Siberia met bushes with very large (about cherry) the fruits differing to taste and coloring of berries. Among seedlings of the Siberian subspecies the grade of Zelenoplodnaya which was taken out to Europe was also selected, and then again returned to Russia from Germany under the name Schwarze grunfruchtige.

In pre-revolutionary Russia great progress in selection of blackcurrant was made by I. V. Michurin and his followers. Since 1948 selection researches on this culture are conducted in All-Russian scientifically - research institute of gardening of I. V. Michurin. For last years 21 grades of blackcurrant with traditional coloring of berries and a complex of valuable signs, and also 77 zelenoplodny seedlings received by free pollination, inbreeding (compulsory pollination) and hybridization were created and transferred to test.

The analysis of a genetic tree of initial forms of zelenoplodny seedlings shows that inheritance of green coloring of berries goes from the Siberian subspecies and the Scandinavian ecotype of the European subspecies of blackcurrant.

All zelenoplodny seedlings differ in rather high winter hardiness, are surprised mealy dew (does not exceed 1 point) and antraknozy a little (2 points), and only at separate seedlings damages pochkovy (0,1 - 1 point) and a web tick (0,5 - 2 points) are noted.

As for qualitative characteristics of berries, at 21,4% of the received seedlings very large berries, at 67,1% - large, at 10% - small and at 1,5% - very small. The most large-fruited seedlings are received in posterity of a grade of Constantius (inbreeding and free pollination), and also in the first generation from pollination of a grade Little Prince by pollen of the Green haze, Sozvezdiya and Titania, in the second generation - from pollination of a grade Belarusian sweet grade pollen Black pearls.

On the content of ascorbic acid of 31,3% of seedlings 47,8% - an average, 14,9% - high and 6,0% - very high differ in

in its low contents (less than 100 mg of %) (more than 200 mg of %). The big part of high-vitamin seedlings is selected in hybrid posterity of blackcurrant at pollination of a grade Little Prince by Constellation pollen.

Zelenoplodny seedlings, unlike black-fruited, accumulate much less sugars. Over 7% of sugars are noted at the perfect seedlings allocated as a result of pollination of a grade Little Prince with Titania`s pollen.

the Bulk of the studied sortoobrazts (72,4%) is characterized by the optimum content of organic acids (from 2 to 3%). 13,8% of seedlings the content of organic acids have less than 2%, at the same quantity of seedlings - more than 3%.

On the content of pectin of 17,5% of berries of zelenoplodny seedlings less than 1%, 25% - more than 2%, and bulk of sortoobrazts - from 1 to 2% accumulate them. Maximum levels of content of pectin in berries are noted in the hybrid posterity received from free pollination, inbreeding and a doopyleniye within a clone of grades Kupava and Little Prince and as a result of pollination of a grade Kupava by pollen Sozvezdiya and Titania, and a grade Little Prince - grade pollen Titania. As a result on a complex hozyaystvenno - valuable signs allocated three elite, steady against diseases zelenoplodny a seedling which gave conditional names: Gold of Inca, Emerald necklace, Izida`s Tear.
