Preparation of a breast for a lactation of
During all pregnancy mammary glands prepare for the postnatal function - feeding. The breast increases and grows heavy therefore it is necessary to wear a convenient bra which supports, but does not constrain a breast in any way. The bra allowing to bare one side of a breast is most convenient, - the woman will be able to use it and after the delivery when feeding. Bras should be changed depending on changes of the size of a breast from time to time. Correctly picked up bra - a guarantee that the breast will not droop subsequently. At each washing of her breast it is necessary to soap, wash up and wipe properly a rigid towel. Women with experience say that three times are easier to give rise, than to feed with cracks on nipples. If nipples healthy and strong, feeding gives pleasure to both to both mother, and the child. Therefore they need to be prepared for future feeding.
If on nipples cracks appear, they not only hurt, but through them the infection causing an inflammation and high temperature, so, that operation in certain cases is required gets to dairy canals.
After washing should be engaged in nipples. Some women have them rather strong in itself, at others - gentle. At the end of the third month of pregnancy when pressing from a breast several drops of colostrum are allocated. If it remains on a nipple, the crust irritating skin can be formed. When washing the crust should be removed, then to clasp with one hand a breast and to properly pound a nipple a towel diversely. In 2 months the soft towel can be replaced rigid terry. By the end of pregnancy of a pacifier it is possible to strengthen also not really rigid brush. As at the strengthening procedures of a pacifier dry, it is useful to grease every time them with lanolin cream. It is impossible to wipe nipples with alcohol at all.
the Flat or pulled-in nipples
the Flat or pulled-in nipples meet very seldom and are not an obstacle to breastfeeding. If nipples flat, they have to pay special attention. After washing it is necessary to take a nipple purely washed up fingers with cut nails (big, index and average) and to carefully delay it, then to release and repeat once again. Or to support by one hand a breast, and other hand - big and anonymous fingers to take a nipple and with some care, but to scroll rather strongly between fingers till 20 - 30 seconds. Reception can be repeated several times during the day.
For formation of proper response of nipples and some of their extension to the woman twice a day during the last trimester of pregnancy is recommended to do simple exercise - rhythmical compression of the basis of a nipple between two thumbs of hands at first in the horizontal plane, then in vertical. Exercise is carried out within several minutes.
Since 7 - go month of pregnancy after consultation with the doctor - the obstetrician can use shapers of nipples which are put in a bra cup. Slips - shapers of nipples are recommended to be carried about 32 weeks of pregnancy.
If the child after the delivery refuses or cannot take a breast, decant a breast and finish feeding this milk of the child. Use at the same time one of alternative methods of feeding (feeding from a cup or from a spoon the milk decanted previously, feeding by means of additional system of feeding Medela SNS) in parallel with shapers of nipples. In 2 - 4 weeks of a pacifier usually increase so that it allows to put the child directly to a breast and to refuse various devices. If it to you did not help
, use overlays for feeding. Choose the correct S or L size. That in the subsequent should disaccustom with
the child to a slip: quickly to remove it at the time of active sucking of the child and to quickly put it to a nipple again; to gradually cut off a slip nipple until the child does not reach a breast nipple.
