Life without chemistry of

For certain to you was necessary to face that sometimes on the shelf in a supermarket products identical at first sight whose cost at the same time differs twice or three times adjoin. Marketing games here at anything. Externally all difference can be reduced to a small badge with the foreign inscription organic or bio. What does it mean also what, besides rather high price, distinguishes such products?

It is no secret that more than a half of harmful substances gets to our organism together with food. Antibiotics, growth hormones used in forages of animals and also herbicides and pesticides are used by us inside in the form of juicy beefsteaks, salads and desserts, causing the most various problems with health - from a banal allergy to oncological diseases. Similar things set thinking not only on pluses of technical progress, but also on its inevitable minuses. Should be surprised to

that the hobby for production of organic became general around the world?. The phenomenon of this popularity is simple - now when “healthy lifestyle“ any more not luxury, but means of a survival, people pay more and more attention to the food. They want to be confident that the food consumed by them will not do harm. Moreover, they are ready to pay big money for this confidence.

according to Rita Medvednik, the project manager “Natural products“, VMP “Ekoprodukt“, “the main difference of products of organic from products traditional is a control of lack of chemical influence at all production phases, so to speak, from a kernel to a counter“. The notorious badge on a label is urged to demonstrate that the product was certified by the independent certified company and made according to the ecostandards accepted in this state. And not the final product as it usually happens at traditional certification is exposed to testing, and - beginning each production phase from the soil and finishing with packing.

- Today in the world about 263 standards of ecological agriculture and environmental management exist, - Andrey Hodus, the head of NP Agrosofiya says, - but the following is most known: American National Organic Programm, Japanese JASS, Swiss Bioswiss, Australian standards and standards of the European Union. Between them there are only insignificant divergences. In Russia there are no similar standards for the present.

It is interesting that the range of natural products - namely it is so accepted to call generally all components of this industry - steadily grows. If in the same 70 - x it were only the food and which are finding room on a counter of small little shop, then now it both vitamins, and medicines, and bioadditives, and also cosmetics, goods of light industry and furniture. In Paris, for example, there are 23 retail networks trading only in production of organic. About 60% of the supermarkets opening in Switzerland specialize in ecoproduction. In the USA the ecoindustry possesses 47% of the market while only 41% are allocated for traditional grocery retail. In America and the countries of Europe ecobusiness captured also restaurants and hotels: the service entirely based on organic is offered to visitors.

Separate conversation - biowine. Actually, wine is a product which process of production underwent the smallest changes with time course, but also here nevertheless there are most “biological“ options. Biowines are made of the grapes which are grown up in full compliance with standards of ecological agriculture, besides, they are practically not exposed to chemical processing in the course of vinification. It is entertaining that many famous wine makers during creation of the wines completely conform to the rules of bioproduction, but refuse use of the bio prefix in already “speaking“ names. However you should not think that the organic or bio badges on wines are the just well thought over marketing mixes. Too big efforts are costed by acquisition of these certificates: repeated checks of the soil, manual assembly of grapes, the most difficult system of protection of a rod from insects - wreckers - these and another similar to them problems considerably complicate life of wine makers.

Bioalkogol, of course, is not limited only to wines - the European producers offer not one grade of biobeer on the market, but Americans let out also organic vodka whose filtration occurs through the stiffened volcanic lava.

about the high price of ecoproduction, you should not forget that production process in this case substantially more expensive and labor-consuming: fight against weeds without chemistry, special forages for animals. Besides in view of lack of preservatives in such products the term of their storage is rather short - for this reason they also are made in limited volumes that too, of course, affects the price. Here what was told by Muslim Umiryaev, the CEO of Storeroom of the Sun holding, Russian Farms group:“ Cost of production of environmentally friendly production in agriculture by 3 times exceeds cost of traditional production. This results from the fact that refusal of use of chemical preparations and means of protection of plants is compensated by physical means, i.e., in particular, manual weeding. The same occurs also in the course of cleaning and plowing - of course, it is reflected in prime cost of the final product“. However, according to Andrey Hodus, “the paradox of the Russian ecoproduction consists that it is much cheaper than western. The share of manual skills in ecoproduction is 50% higher, than in traditional, but in Russia where work of peasants is low-paid, introduction of the chemical fertilizers accepted in traditional economy often costs dearer uses of manual skills“.

also one more important aspect Is. Experts consider that if the price of usual products considered all indirect expenses connected with their production (purification of the polluted water, restoration suffering from a soil erosion, medical expenses of producers), then usual products would be more expensive than organic products, and not vice versa!

By the way, by estimates of the same international experts, Russia where in view of extreme poverty of collective farms of the field for years were fertilized, has huge potential to environmentally friendly production. According to Andrey Hodus, “many Russian farms can receive the certificate of organic within the first year after application“. And some of them are ready to offer production already now, worthy to carry the title organic. Business only in us, conscious buyers!
