Animated films: harm or advantage? We know
a little about how animated films influence formation of the identity of the child. Researches on psychology of children of preschool and younger age consider formation of consciousness, understanding of the world, surrounding reality, without focusing attention on influence of television and animation.
It is valid, animation unites reality and fiction, music and “picture“, proceeding from generalizing animation nature, and creates a uniform pedagogical educational complex.
Why some animated films cause a storm of joyful emotions, a wave of imitation favourite heroes and form positive installations of the identity of the child, and others do frank harm, doing children aggressive? Among creators of animated films there are two “camps“: those who copy adulthood, passing it through the reducing prism, and those who create Toy Store with its own laws of life.
Modern children more and more are drawn towards imitation of adulthood with its aggression and cruelty therefore prefer the first type of animated films. Such animated films emotionally devastate the child, energy goes to an empty symbol, and the game generated by such animation is deprived of novelty and advantage. And we already deal with the “robotic child“ captured by animation, attached to the screen, suppressing own “I“, admiring invincible and almighty heroes of animated films. Without intervention of adults in an “animated“ diet of children animated films can really become tutors with a minus sign, some kind of car unifying and suppressing identity.
Also illustrating the first point of view, it is possible to quote, perhaps, the most famous animator At. Disney: “Perhaps, a secret of my success that all my movies do not happen too children`s“. However it is necessary to recognize that in many respects Disney`s animated films are for us a standard of the magic Toy Store.the Opposite point of view is connected by

Ambiguous influence of foreign “adult“ animated films can be revealed even in the analysis of the principles of education of K. D. Ushinsky:
- of a nationality (“Each people have the special ideal of the person and demands the education of reproduction of this ideal in individuals“);
- of humanity;
- of nature conformity.
that it is necessary to pay attention to these principles at education of the modern child. Especially on the principle of a nationality, formation of the identity of the child is directly connected with national and cultural peculiarities even if these features are shown at the level of animation.to
So, it is obvious that there are two points of view on influence of animated films on formation of the identity of the child:
- optimistic (the animated film is an extensive area for the solution of pedagogical tasks);
- pessimistic (animated films do harm to the identity of the child).
We think that the decision - in “golden mean“, in skillful and adequate use of the animation bearing educational idea and the corresponding formula “do not do much harm“ for the purpose of formation of certain qualities of the identity of the child.Each parent including the animated film for the child of this or that has to understand
that its influence can deceive expectation both the adult, and the child. The parent needs to pay attention to the following.by
- On what age calculated the animated film? whether
- there Corresponds the animated film to a focus of interest and psychology of the specific child?
- What esthetic and ethical filling of the animated film?
In animation such concept, important for teachers, as “the act of trust“ exists. The combination of fiction and reality so obvious to the adult is not realized by the child. Of course, “stay“ in the fairy tale, in the irreal world of contrast categories of the good and evil is necessary for the child. The animated film becomes the universal language helping versatile development of children. Positive impact of animation at the correct selection of animated films can become fine developing a grant for:
- of liberation of thinking;
- of development of creative potential in connection with occupations by drawing, a molding of heroes of animated films, game receptions;
- of improvement of skills of communication and socialization.
