Using Internet Protocol (IP), any quantity of separate computer networks is capable to unite in the general network working as a unit. The principles which are the cornerstone of IP are in many respects similar accepted in post services of the majority of the countries of the world. For management of access to databases and implementation of exchange of information in a network is required a full set of the Arpanet protocols, the most known of which is the combination of TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protcol/Internet Protocol).
Being tested in Arpanet, all these protocols found later application at universities and the research organizations from where then got to the sphere of commercial appendices as they are actively used in operating systems of many popular models of computers, for example, in workstations of the Sun Microsystems Inc company. It is enough to note that at the end of 80 - x of TCP/IP it was involved in millions of the computers united in thousands of networks. Merge of the last also generated Internet in its modern look.
Today Internet unites 48 thousand networks dispersed on all globe. Some of these subnets cover the whole geographical regions, in particular, North - Eastern States the USA. Others have especially local character and connect subscribers within this or that campus.

It and is not surprising - all for some several years this global conglomerate of separate computer networks caught such number of consumers that by right it is considered nowadays the most considerable achievement of decade in the field of communication.
Is remarkable that so rapid development happens almost spontaneously, and sometimes and just happy-go-lucky. The system of the Internet networks has no owner and does not cope from the uniform center of any company or other organization, i.e. it represents unprecedented technical, social, and nowadays also a commercial phenomenon:
it is the ground opened for all for a running in of new information technologies on which scientists of all countries of the world, and now and managers can test the perspective ideas. Internet became the peculiar world forum allowing to combine efforts to ways to progress.
