What the motivation in management means?

Motivation in management - one of the main administrative functions. Theorists and practitioners of management attach it great value.

Motivation - a type of administrative activity which induces workers to activity. It provides stimulation by means of external factors, so-called material and moral incentive, and also internal psychological motives to work.

The motivation in management is based on two categories. These are requirements and encouragement.

Requirements is an awareness of absence something that motivates to act. Primary requirements at the person are put genetically. Secondary requirements by the nature of a psikhologichna, appear during acquisition of life experience. As requirements demand their satisfaction from the person, managers try to create such system of encouragement which will give confidence in satisfaction of requirements due to the actions directed to achievement of the objectives of the organization.

Encouragement - all this what the person considers for himself valuable. In the organization managers can use external encouragement and internal. Treat them: promotion, monetary payments, feeling of success, an opportunity to self-express and samorazvivatsya, friendship and positive communication. Completely certain motivational structure is inherent in each person. Activity of the person decides by a large number of motives, various by the nature, on great variety of priorities.

For several years motivational tendencies of the person try to reduce in special systems and to construct motivational theories. These theories help managers to understand templates of behavior of the person. Today several such motivational theories are known. It is the theory psychoanalytic, it is driving, the hedonistic theory, the theory of conditioned reflexes, the theory of requirements Maslou, Mack - Klelanda, Tougan - Baranovsky, the theory of “X“ and “At“ Douglas Mac Gregor, the theory of “motivational hygiene“, the theory of expectations of Vrum and the theory of justice. All of them treat motivational management.

The main motivational issue of behavior of people as it was stated above, encouragement is. Still the academician Pavlov paid attention that under the influence of many factors and the kind word at the person working capacity increases and the good mood which stimulates all organism is created.

The technology of encouragement is as follows. If we encourage the worker, then should not praise him just like that. The praise and encouragement have to specify correctly perfectly well the performed work or its part. Any encouragement works with that more productively, than the gap in time between an act and the taken-out encouragement is shorter. Speaking about motivation, it should be noted that efficiency of work depends on correctness of use of strategy and system of motivation of employees. Modern approach to use of system of motivation has to be reduced to the skillful choice by the head of the most effective ways of influence on personnel in concrete situations.
