What our brain is similar to? Fight of Giants

That the general between a human brain and the Internet? You will be surprised, but it is a cable. The invisible network of the Internet gives us the chance to work, have a rest, learn, without leaving the apartment. The invisible network of our brain allows us to work, have a rest, learn, without stopping the activity even at night.

each animal - at mammals, at birds, at fishes etc. - has a brain. But the most unique - a brain of the person. Not the biggest, but very functional for the solution of improbable quantity of tasks, including the following:

control of body temperature, arterial pressure, speed of heart and breath;
reception of information around from various sense organs (sight, hearing, sense of smell, taste and a touch);
data processing of our physical actions: movements during the walking, conversation, standing or sitting;
an opportunity to think, dream, to think, cry and laugh.

All these tasks are regulated and controlled by body which the cauliflower fork has the sizes small.

Our brain, a spinal cord and peripheral nerves make a unique complex of the integrated information processing and management of the system known as the central nervous system. In what similarity and distinction of these two giants?

For comparison it is possible to call figuratively it the Ethernet cable , or network connection between two incredibly fast and very powerful computer processors, each of which works with various programs. Who is stronger in this comparison, who has more opportunities and capacities? It is hard to say as the computer carries out some tasks quicker, than a brain, and the brain has more options for performance of thought processes.

Let`s arrange small competition between technical and organic processors:

Both use electric signals for transmission of messages. the Brain uses chemicals for broadcasting of information; the computer uses the electric power. It is necessary to notice that electric signals in nervous system travel even with greater speed, than the electric power through wires in the computer.

Both are capable to transfer information. the Computer uses switches which happen or are included, or switched off (“binary“ system). Somewhat neurons in a brain are also included or switched off, however for neurons it is more, than just to include or switch off system, “excitability“ of neuron all the time changes as it constantly obtains information also from other cages through synoptic contacts.

Both have memory which can increase. Computer memory grows due to addition of computer chips. Storing in a brain happens due to expansion of synoptic communications.

Both can adapt and study. novel it is much simpler to Study new and for a brain. The computer can solve at the same time many complex problems, similar “multitasking“ is difficult to our brain. Nevertheless, the brain carries out similar function by means of vegetative nervous system. For example, the brain controls breath, a warm rhythm and arterial pressure and at the same time operates mentality.

Both have a need for energy. the Brain needs nutrients, such as oxygen and sugar. The computer needs the electric power to continue to work.

Both of them can be damaged and need under repair. This task is easily overcome by the computer - to buy for it new details enough or to reinstall the program. More difficult the situation with “repair and delivery“ of new details for a brain is. Nevertheless, some works on transplantation of nervous cages at neurologic frustration, such as Parkinson`s illness are conducted.

Both the computer, and a brain can be damaged by “virus“. to cure the computer, it is possible to use restoration function - “backup“ - or to reinstall system. The brain has in certain cases “the built-in backup copy of system“ too. If one way to a brain is damaged, often there is other way which will undertake function of damaged.

Changes. the Brain constantly changes, and makes changes to the scheme of work. However the button “off“ for a brain does not exist - even if the person or an animal sleeps, his brain is active and works. The computer changes when the new equipment or the software is added. When the computer is powered off, signals are not transmitted.

Both can calculate and solve logical problems. the Computer works quicker when performing logical tasks and calculations. The brain is more perfect in interpretation of models of the outside world and inventing of new ideas as it is capable of imagination.

Both the brain, and computers are actively studied. Scientists understand how computers work. But a brain - more difficult structure. Thousands of neurologists study its functions, nevertheless many riddles cannot be solved so far.
