In what difference of a ceramic brick from a brick silicate?

Forming a uniform class of bricks, silicate and ordinary samples of this traditional construction material seriously differ from each other not only color. Difference of a silicate brick from usual begins already at a stage of their production, in selection of initial components for production. There are also features and in their use. Let`s tell, than the ceramic brick differs from a brick silicate.

So, the silicate brick is made of air lime, quartz sand and water. Therefore it is white. The formed preparations are processed in the autoclave under the influence of a high pressure and hot saturated water vapor. The silicate brick is considered the cheapest wall material.

In turn the ordinary ceramic brick is received from clay of different structures which with additives form uniform mix. After molding of a clay brick, it is not exposed to processing in the autoclave, and there takes place process of roasting at a temperature up to 1050 degrees. As a result the finished product gets the high durability and red color.

At the same time, both silicate and ordinary bricks have the general advantages:

Environmental friendliness. This property makes related silicate and ordinary bricks, all of them are made only of natural raw materials - lime, clay, sand, and water.

Sound insulation. Both silicate, and ordinary bricks possess good sound-proof ability. The silicate brick is often applied to a laying of walls in industrial and civil engineering. The ordinary ceramic brick is got for creation of internal and external ranks in any residential buildings and constructions.

Frost resistance and durability. Both silicate and ordinary types of bricks possess these properties sufficiently. It confirms long-term experience of use of these construction materials in regions with different climatic conditions.

Reliability and unpretentiousness of constructions. The walls which are laid out from an ordinary or silicate brick maintain influence of many external factors and are not so subject to influence of time as wooden.

Despite all advantages of these bricks, is at them and shortcomings which should be considered, planning construction.

The silicate brick has low level zharo-and water resistance. Considering it, it is not recommended to apply to designs which will be affected by water, high humidity (sewer wells, the bases) and high temperature (chimneys, fireplaces, furnaces). Besides, the outdated production technology of a silicate brick such is that it is let out mainly corpulent, with a high density. In this regard this construction material possesses high coefficient of heat conductivity. Therefore bearing walls should be done of it rather thick, and it leads to additional load of the base. Now the separate enterprises began to adjust release of a low-hollow silicate brick, but it still in the market is not enough.

The silicate type of bricks is applied to creation of the self-bearing and bearing walls, partitions, in multystoried and one-storeyed buildings. Besides, fill with this brick emptiness in monolitno - concrete designs.

At the same time as we already noted, the cost of a silicate brick is lower, than at the private. It can be carried to advantages of this construction material. Economic component often declines builders to use of a silicate brick. Its price in comparison with other types of bricks is low.

Has minuses and an ordinary ceramic brick. It, first of all, emergence of vysol which spoil appearance of brick buildings. To avoid similar trouble, work with a ceramic brick requires qualitative solution. Cannot happen to a silicate brick of it.

The ordinary ceramic brick is applied to creation of walls and partitions, one - and multystoried buildings and constructions. They can put the base, to create internal surfaces of household furnaces and chimneys.

It is not difficult to buy silicate or ordinary bricks today. As well as many decades ago, this material still is considered at builders one of the most popular.
