PANTHEON of the ARMENIAN GODS - ARARICh, DITs

Arev (automated workplace. Ա ր ե ւ also Arev, Aregak, literally - “Sun“ (in figurative sense - “life“) - personification of the Sun, sometimes in the form of the wheel radiating light is more often in an image of the young man.

was closely connected with a cult of the goddess Anait. Not incidentally, its temple was in Gavar Ekekhyats, near Anait`s temple. Nane it was also esteemed as Great mother (in the folk Armenian speech the name of Nane gained nominal &ndash value; grandmother, mother).

Vae (automated workplace. Վ ա հ ե) - god (Dietz) of the Sun.

Gisane (automated workplace. Գ ի ս ա ն ե) - the dying and reviving god of the life-giving nature.

Lusin (automated workplace. Լ ո ւ ս ի ն in translation “Moon“) - in the Armenian mythology personification of the Moon.
On national Armenian beliefs, phases of the Moon are connected with cycles of life of the tsar Lusin: the new moon is connected with his youth, a full moon - with a maturity when the moon decreases and there is a half moon, there comes the old age Lucina which then goes to paradise (that is dies). From paradise Lusin comes back revived (a mytheme of the dying and reviving god). In many myths Lusin and Arev (personification of the Sun) act as the brother and the sister.

was considered as the Main function of Grokh the accounting of sins and good deeds of people. Grokh on a forehead of the person at the birth writes down its destiny (defines which Bakht); throughout human life Grokh notes his sins and good acts which have to be reported in God`s Court in the book. Sometimes Grokh was identified with spirits of an illness - “tsaver“.

Bakht (automated workplace. Բ ա խ տ - “destiny“, “fate“) - spirit in the Armenian mythology, personification of destiny.

Spandaramet (automated workplace. Ս ա ն դ ա ր ա մ ե տ) - god of a vault and kingdom of the dead.

Amanor (automated workplace. Ա մ ա ն ո ր - “New Year“) - the deity representing New year (which on a drevnearmyansky kaledaryu begins in August) and bearing its first fruits (laudatory songs about “Nubar“ (“the New Fruit“))
