They are called doronikum (Doronicum), belong to Slozhnotsvetnye`s family, it is grassy kornevishchny perennial. About 40 species of the plants widespread in mountainous areas of Europe and Asia enter a sort Doronikum according to different data. Doronikuma have a slaborazvetvlenny upright stalk, not numerous leaves with gear edge are collected generally in a rhizome zone in similarity of the socket. The lower leaves yaytsevidno - heart-shaped on long scapes, top, on stalks with flowers, oblong. Doronikum - one of the most unpretentious plants for a garden, blossoms in May. Well grows on any soil, however, on sandstones grows slightly below than specific norm. On the friable fertile earth grows more magnificently and more plentifully blossoms. The open sun transfers not bad, but nevertheless feels in easy shading better. In close proximity at trunks of trees looks it is oppressed and grows worse.

Due to creation of reserves of moisture in thick rhizomes doronikum it is rather drought-resistant, however during a heat blossoming terms are reduced. Therefore in dry weather during blossoming, during formation and growth of kidneys of its renewal it is necessary to water periodically plentifully. To additional fertilizers it is undemanding, to it usually rather fertile soil. For this purpose around a bush bring the rerotting organic chemistry when redigging. If there is no such opportunity, then feed up solution of mineral fertilizers during active vegetation (April - June). After completion of blossoming of a tsvetonosa it is possible to cut off if it is not necessary to collect seeds.

On one place doronikum can grow many years, but it is better to make division of old bushes in 4 - 5 years. After a vykopka of a bush of a rhizome divide and transplant on new places. Make multiple copies it most often vegetativno, in the spring or in the fall though it is possible even during blossoming, having kept a big lump of the earth on roots. Doronikum easily breeds also seeds which sow in an open ground at the beginning of May. Crops depth - about 0,5 cm, optimum temperature - 16 degrees. At cultivation in the greenhouse or the room seeds sow on seedling in April, and transfer to an open ground in August, transplanting seedlings at distance of 30 - 50 cm from each other.

Doronikuma possess good winter hardiness and successfully winter in the conditions of a midland of Russia. In the presence of snow cover they do not need additional shelter. In low-snow winters cover from compost or fir-tree fir twigs will be useful. Spring frosts of a plant transfer well even in the blossoming state. Flowers are very decorative and perfectly stand in cut.
