Travel to a tea ceremony: what did I find?

In increasing frequency at us in the country appear possibilities of visit of a tea ceremony. The tea ceremony did not enter organically our culture yet. And responses of people ambiguous. Very few people felt the true taste of this sacrament . Once and I was invited to this action. And I want to tell about the impressions and feelings.

At once I will make a reservation, the tea ceremony by the Japanese traditions means a set of firm rules. The tea ceremony in the Chinese style allows errors and is generally loyal. I was at the tea ceremony in the Chinese style adapted under our reality. As a result accepted such style of conducting a tea ceremony in the practice.

Imagine the cozy room lovely to heart where all sit on a floor. It unites and gives to society some special warmth. All are located at one level, closely to each other, and it confuses nobody at all. Because in a tea ceremony all audience - a whole .

Chaban - the board for a tea ceremony - is not similar to our table at all. More likely, it is a tray with the pallet on which water flows. By the way, the more flows waters, the better . For the Russian person who got used not to spill tea on a cloth (or on a table), the flowing water is unusual at the beginning. But there passes time, and begin to perceive the current water as the main component of all sacrament.

Five elements: water, fire, air, a tree and metal - are the most important components of a tea ceremony. The tea leaf represents elements of a tree, boiled water is water, a brazier - fire, a teapot - an earth symbol, and the preparing tea of people - metal.

In a tea ceremony candles (the truth, other plan, than our candles in a candlestick), aromolampa and, of course, aromas are actively used. However aroma indoors has to be not too persuasive, we need to catch taste of tea still! In other words, the elements of fire are present everywhere.

Special harmony to space the pacifying music adds .

An important role is played by the leader of a tea ceremony. It adjusts all guests on a special wave, a condition of a pacification and contemplation. His internal state of harmony has to be so strong that it was felt and all participants of a ceremony absorbed in themselves. Then there is a special atmosphere of tranquility, acceptance and “transparency“. But this state depends not only on the leader, but also on guests, on their ability and desire to switch from wordly cares in a tea non-existence. Often master chooses and invites guests to travel to a tea ceremony.

The tea master warms up water (it is not brought to boiling). Before a tea zavarivaniye at first allow to inhale aroma of a tea leaf. To us suggested “to add“ mentally in this action the feelings and wishes.

Further the tea master pours water on a tea figure (if it is used in a tea ceremony). The tea figure as if blesses tea drinking . Then water is poured in chaynichek. And then smoothly pours out from it on a tea board, murmuring and being poured in the light of candles. All this becomes slowly, without vanity, with internal beauty and tranquility.

Tea is ready in a chaynichka and is quickly poured in chakhay - from it spill tea on pialka. It becomes in order that all had an identical infusion fortress.

And then, actually, also absorption of tea begins. We had small pialka. It seemed how it is possible to get drunk tea from such small ware! But tea flew infinitely. Between slow easy conversations again and again new tea was ready and it was distributed to each guest.

All this slowness gradually calms . The atmosphere adjusts on a benevolent warm harmony. Music brings a pacification. The leader gives special charm to all events and makes the most tasty tea. In a tea ceremony silence is perceived as an important component of conversation . Sometimes there is no wish to speak at all. And there is a wish to listen, hear, try, to feel, enjoy and stay in this world of feelings infinitely.

In a tea ceremony in the Chinese style uluna - teas which harmonize in the person man`s and female (Yin and yang) are preferable. Long tea drinking (and I stayed at a tea ceremony all day) promotes emergence of a special condition of “intoxication“. There is a smoothness in the movements, tranquility in thoughts, but at the same time “transparency“ of thinking remains. There is an ability to behold things such what they are. Full relaxation comes (relaxation of muscles affects smoothness of movements, and even easy rocking). And relaxation allows to have a rest sincerely and spiritually. Along with that it is possible to see what is not visible in vanity, to learn the real pleasure.

Often people look for relaxation and rest on far trips (that in itself is vain). Are sometimes forgotten in alcohol. Try to muffle in themselves painful experiences, and in fact to escape from itself. Seldom it is possible to receive relaxation in that measure in what it is necessary for us. At all it is not obligatory to run away for rest somewhere. It is much more important to stop. To stop and listen to itself. Not to be afraid of it, not to hide, and to accept.

Not everyone is ready to feel a tea ceremony (but all can do). Therefore also responses often chaotic, not properly executed.

But the one who felt a tea ceremony will never refuse it . All making ceremonies help to be adjusted on a special wave, to receive full scale of feelings. It is special rest of soul, but not delusion, but enlightenment. Not for nothing the tea ceremony is a special way of meditation which is used at Buddhist monks.

I often see offers of holding a tea ceremony for a payment. Going to such action, you remember that your state depends not on that how many money you paid, and not so much from skill of the tea leader, how many from you .

And if you learned to receive, feel and transfer these feelings, then you can to organize yourself a tea ceremony also. And by that to have satisfaction from silence and contemplation always when want it. And then, perhaps, to you will carry, and the real tea master will invite you to visit its sacrament...

Good luck to you and sincere tea ceremony!
