The next day began with that incident which nearly threatened my further participation in Audi Racing Program. But then, having already reconciled to the fact that I do not pass further, I waited only for one - the turn to take the wheel of R8 LMS. And at last it came true! However, at first we were “rolled“ in turn by the instructor, explaining how to work with racing “sekventalka“, and telling where it is not necessary to point a finger.

We are interchanged the position. “Ladles“, belts, a removable wheel, the ridiculous air-channel sticks out on the right, and near it the scheme of the route is pasted. Northern loop of the Nurnburgring! But we distracted. I stick a cord helmet “repatters“ in the socket. Aha, the button we include ignition and we launch the engine. I come out to the flat oval route. Dispersal! Oho - go! And R8 LMS, despite loss of 25 forces in comparison with serial R8 V10, goes much quicker. The main thing - not to overdo, the drive - that back here, and configuration all same, demanding from the driver of fast and correct actions

Ya not for nothing it mentioned. After “oval“ we were waited by already full-fledged track, and longer and interesting, than that configuration where we went for a while by R8 V10. However, I could judge it only on “onbord - video“. Because, of course, I and here was not lucky. I already stood completely ready to “flights“ - in overalls, with the clasped helmet. I went To final test “snake“ (to us charged points for results - the winner received 12 points, the owner of the second time - 11, and so on) already without any enthusiasm. In - the first, it there was again watered slow and boring slalom where added also a double rerate. And in - the second, sense to fight was not any - with the two sixth results I lagged behind the place in the treasured four too strongly.

But Fortuna as if rewarded me for a cancelled full-fledged rendezvous with R8 LMS. It appeared, I passed final slalom so accurately that showed the second time. And it decided destiny of the fourth place! One of my rivals brought down a cone and at once was rolled away back, and with another I had an equality on points, but higher position in separately taken exercise (the second against the third). When declared final results, I even asked again, without having believed that I literally jumped on a footboard of the leaving train. Fantastic outcome!

However, now the right for such quantity of mistakes will not be any more. To the third stage Audi Racing Program 2011 there will go only 12 people, including our four of journalists. It will take place at the very end of September everything in the same place, in Gross Dyoln. And then four lucky who will become the best of this dozen will go to a race circuit of Lauzittsring - to sort out the relations in the final (and final arrivals will be only on R8 LMS!). I will get to their number, I will not get - the dog knows it. There is no wish to think after such kaleidoscope of events. At least I will try to do a bit of traveling normally on R8 LMS, and there as will carry - that here also good luck is required, I was already convinced.
