How to learn to sort garbage? We adopt the Japanese experience of

the Question of processing of household waste arises in our country in increasing frequency recently. And what ways of fight against this misfortune would not be offered, almost all experts meet in one: the main thing - to convince citizens still houses to throw out garbage not in one general bucket, and in different at once to sort waste on properties. And then not to forget to stuff all these bags in the corresponding containers. Near my house such is, are called: “Glass“, “Paper“, “Plastic“. Whether it is necessary to say that almost none of residents of the area are puzzled with a question where what garbage to put: all throw together into the first tank.

And how at them?

We a priori consider that foreigners more conscious and organized, than we including in questions of household waste. However whether always their well-known order is caused only by high consciousness? Perhaps the fear of punishment for which it is not strong here also is added to it - that you will pay off?

Thoughts on this subject began to come to my mind when once during a trip to the Land of the rising sun, I happened to see how in the yard of the usual Japanese house, in usual summer day take out garbage from a usual Japanese garbage can.

It, a garbage can, it is even somehow inconvenient to call this word. It has with our dirty, rusty containers which far off are “smelling sweet“ as all unpleasant smells at once nothing in common. Here you such will not find, you should not spend time. Pay attention on accurate, clean as hospital chambers of a cage, height approximately in human growth better. It is also a garbage can in Japanese.

It is possible to enter it through a gate, as a rule, it without lock, just the slega is covered. Having come, it is necessary to put the packages of waste on a concrete floor and everything, it is possible to be free. Also you should not screw up the face fastidiously as I wrote, garbage cans contain in ideal purity here.

However, cages, but not containers, were chosen not so much for convenience of residents how many for more effective work of the dustman: it does not throw out all packages in the car, and their beret one by one, fluently looks through contents and only then pedantically packages everything in the small truck. It not mere curiosity or something is worse: thus, the dustman is convinced that all waste is sorted correctly. For this reason, by the way, packages have to be transparent, otherwise will open them. Search? Wildness? But everywhere purity and order.

Perhaps, someone will burst out laughing over such precautions and will think: “Yes I will throw out where I will want what they, will watch, perhaps, me moreover and at my place? “ Will not be at your place, but will try to find the violator all the same.

How? Very simply: for example, on the broken-off envelope, according to the address catalog lying right there in a package. Yes, be not surprised, the dustman who beheld a foreign matter will not disdain to open a bag and to look for proofs. He will report on results on the administration, and already it will solve whether to be limited to the prevention or at once to expose a penalty. If it is impossible to establish responsible, the prevention will be made to all house. Once, the second, third... And the car behind garbage will not arrive to this house any more.

What to do? Every time to order it independently, paying at the same time solid money, and it is inconvenient. So as it is impossible “to agree“, Japanese prefer not to push luck and at once to display waste as it is necessary.

And one more curious detail: before throwing out packages from - under food, they should be rinsed to wash away leftovers. It is simple and allows to avoid a disgusting smell, characteristic of any garbage can. Certainly, if you houses, and on the street can throw out a container just like that.

The garbage truck comes to strictly certain time, the schedule of arrival is hung out at an entrance to a cage. Separate point specified there when take out “rare“ garbage, like batteries, bulbs or plastic bottles. Before term it is not recommended to throw out such things: to take away them all the same will not take away, and for littering of a garbage point will make the remark.

Result is available

All these precautions can seem strange. Yes cannot, and seem to almost any visitor to the person. But it works! You would see as, even on the street, the Japanese begins to find out pedantically in what of four presented ballot boxes to throw out the garbage which is available for him, and will not throw for anything it just like that on the earth. If there is no suitable capacity, will incur further, but in the wrong wastebasket will not put. And so behave not only well-educated old women, but also the revolting teenagers, and a frightening look punks.

Whether but consciousness it? Perhaps, a habit which is fed by thought of inevitability of a penalty? As Japanese consider, the last is more probable.
