Castaneda most often mentions in the books peyotl (some translators try “to stylize“ this name, having reduced to “peyot“ that is in a conflict with botanical literature and only confuses the reader), Anhalonium which is a cactus from the relevant family (Cactaceae), and other plant, a dope (Datura).
