What microclimate has to be in the nursery?
Future parents look forward to birth of the kid and try to prepare everything that to it it was cozy and comfortable. Already the carriage, a bed, diapers, rattles are bought. Nothing was forgotten?
An important role in development of the child is played by a microclimate of the room in which he lives.
It is well known that children of early age, especially the first year of life, are most sensitive to change of meteoconditions. The child during the pre-natal formation was in the damp environment where breathed and was fed through an umbilical cord. Its birth on light already in itself is a huge stress, that is why parents need to create all conditions for painless and easy passing of a stage of “acclimatization“. One of important aspects of normal growth and development of the kid is a good humidity of air which has to be not lower than 50%.
Also it is necessary to take into account the fact that the organism of the child of the first year of life contains at 10 - 15% of liquid more, than an adult organism. And even insignificant loss of liquid can lead to considerable violations in various bodies and systems of the kid.
It is established that high temperature in combination with dryness of air sharply increase “thermal loading“ of an organism and cause a number of violations of its functions. By basic researches it is proved that the lowered humidity has the defining value in structure of adverse ecological effects for children of early age. The interesting fact is that the peak of bronchopulmonary incidence falls on the hot period with the lowered humidity.
As doctors note, at the lowered humidity even at healthy children changes of the daily mode of function of kidneys and development of dysbacteriosis are possible. If the child already has problems with health, then dry air will only provoke recurrence, will reduce efficiency of traditionally applied methods of treatment and will serve as “the starting moment“ for development in children of chronic diseases.
Besides, not a secret that the skin of the person for 70% consisting of water at small children is especially vulnerable. Therefore formation of a microclimate in the nursery has to rely not only on temperature and purity of air, but also on relative humidity.
Too “Sukhoi“ air indoors overdries skin, thereby, reducing protective properties, immunity and creating discomfort for the baby. Mucous membranes of a nasopharynx and lungs interact with air all the time and react to the insufficient maintenance of humidity in it. If in the room of the kid insufficiently damp air, at it puts a nose, breath becomes complicated, and he often wakes up at night. And dryness in a mouth can become the concern reason during feeding; it will be painful to child to suck a breast or a pacifier.
Any doctor will confirm that normal humidity of air in the nursery has to be not lower than 50%. In former times knew about need to moisten air in the house also without doctors. In old times when furnaces burned, hostesses in log huts placed tubs with water. Directly in the room hanged out damp linen.
To saturate air with reviver and to revitalize a house microclimate the household humidifier will help.
As a rule, humidifiers work at a basis of usual tap water which contains a large number of harmful components, such as chlorine, bacteria and so forth. Harmful components from water in the course of steam formation get to air, and then settle on our skin and in respiratory system. To neutralize negative properties of tap water and to provide air moistening with pure steam, the humidifier has to use a preliminary filtration of water.
Recently there were popular ultrasonic humidifiers. Thanks to such humidifiers air indoors becomes fresh as after a rain, and on a surface of furniture condensate is not formed.
