ARONIYa black-fruited - “mountain ash“?

of Average size (height less than three meters) the branchy bush extended thanks to the person far beyond the homeland, east part of the North American continent. Leaves of this fruit bush elliptic, gear on edge.

The inflorescences similar to inflorescences of an ordinary mountain ash consist of white or pinkish flowers. In May the aroniya black-fruited begins to blossom, finishes - in June, and fruits ripen late fall, in October - November.

It is better to keep the fruits collected after night frosts in the freezer up to the use - and then in the winter or in the early spring, in the period of the general “traditional“ shortage of vitamins, you will be able to indulge the organism with compote from fruits of black-fruited “mountain ash“.

Aroniya fruits very juicy - the dark pulp with a large number of antotsianovy pigments (derivatives of a tsianidin) contains 50 - 60% of juice.

In fruits - abundance of vitamins - With, E, K and PP (more precisely, P - vitamin substances), nicotinic and folic acids, and also carotene and pectins, a glycoside amigdalin, organic acids and tannins, and also carbohydrates - fructose, glucose and sucrose.

Fruits of an aroniya surpass wild strawberry and tangerines in the level of content of organic acids.

Iodine in aroniya fruits almost as much, how many in feijoa fruits.

Among other things, in pulp of fruits of an aroniya a set of other minerals - iron, copper, manganese, pine forest, fluorine, molybdenum, magnesium.

Application of fruits of an aroniya at a hypertension ² is recommended to degree (to vegetososudisty dystonia on hypertensive type) and atherosclerosis as they possess the expressed antisclerous and hypotensive action. But as the aroniya possesses also ability to condense blood that can increase probability of a tromboobrazovaniye, application of fruits of this plant in the medical purposes has to be carried out under control of the expert (in recent years doctors tell owing to what coagulability of blood increases about the side effects caused by overdose of ascorbic acid more and more, danger of developing of blood clots increases). They can be used at various bleedings, hemorrhagic diathesis and kapillyarotoksikoza.

Aroniya is capable to normalize pressure even if it was lowered that is perspective for complex treatment of hypotonia.

Besides treatment of atherosclerosis, the aroniya can be applied also to treatment of diabetes (too under supervision of the doctor), allergies of various origin, diseases of nervous system and kidneys (at a glomerulonefrita).

- on one teaspoon of jam from apples and a black-fruited aroniya well stir in a glass of kefir. The mixer will come to the rescue of you - and the child will tell “thanks“!

It is possible to drink juice of fruits of an aroniya on 1 - 2 tablespoons 3 - 4 times a day before food.

Mix of juice of a mountain ash ordinary and aroniya is used in the food industry for coloring of soft drinks and giving of curative properties to them.
