Rus Articles Journal

And at us, Belarusians, today a grandiose holiday!

A I, the hat, missed... to write article sensible, short and in time...

(In all beauty, with pictures - photos, it is possible to esteem on my website in “Town“)

Day of the Belarusian writing is a national holiday and is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of September.

The concept of a holiday provides display of indestructible unity of the Belarusian printing word with history of the Belarusian people, its close connection with Slavic sources, and also judgment of a historical way of writing and the press in Belarus.

the Belarusian literature was formed near with the Russian and Ukrainian literature of an era of Kievan Rus`, and stood apart only in 14 - ohm - 15 - ohm centuries. Blossoming came in 16 - ohm - 17 - ohm, “Golden Age“. Old Belarusian was official language of Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Since the beginning 16 - go centuries the Belarusian books began to be printed. The first printing book in Belarusian - “Psalter“ - was published in Prague in 1517 by Francis Scorinoy. It was the first book published in language of East Slavic group. Until recently main prospectus of Minsk carried the name of this great knigopechatnik.

Also began …

When we arrived to this country, in the late seventies, we with pleasure noted what Belarusians tell on our native, Russian. Sometimes on the TV it was, however, possible to hear also almost clear speech, Belarusian. But everywhere: in shops, on the street, in transport, - all communicated (and still continue) on the familiar Russian speech which is slightly flavored with local accent and impregnations of ridiculous, unknown words. Even somehow scornfully Belarusians looked at the rare fellow citizens trying though somehow to cause a stir from lump talking freely and purely on “belaruskay to mova“.

Revolution in my views came at the first lessons of the Belarusian literature. The teacher our Tatyana Adamovna Mickiewicz appeared not only the granddaughter of the famous writer, but also the most talented teacher, the patriot “svayoy radzimy“ and the just fine person.

She so told about the country, about the people, about writers and poets that we hated the call notifying on the termination of a lesson. Before acquaintance to it, I also had no idea of how language of Belarusians as country history is rich is beautiful as there are a lot of great writers, poets.

Generally, on those, old laws, it was possible to refuse studying of Belarusian according to the statement of parents at all. And as I am grateful now to mother who declared categorically that not to learn language of the country in which you live, just ugly it is a shame and it is dishonourable!

I learned what, appears, awfully tragic, very interesting movie “Alpine Ballad“ is created according to Vasyl Bykov`s story. That his story “Crane Shout“ is also the cornerstone of my favourite The Cranes Are Flying. And what he is a great man and now any educated person of any educated country knows. Recently absolutely we said goodbye to the hero of our time …

Every Saturday when I bake pancakes, I remember and I read to children fragments from Yaqub Kolos`s poem “New zyamlya“:

Dzen ¢ are sacred. Hell Yashche rannya Bl_ntsa`s

Also I read with that intonation with which our Tatyana Adamovna presented us this work. We listened to it and represented this action, heard a smell of tasty lacy, thin pancakes. There was no wish to inhale smells of school eatery at all. Children listen, understand, thank God, laugh. I in accuracy repeat all actions “matsi“: also I am active a serving spoon, also they sit around a table and catch directly from a frying pan hawt pancakes - laces.

On pleasure and pride of Belarus our “Pesniary“ appeared. Vladimir Mulyavin, the Russian person, the real patriot of Belarus, talantishche - the musician and the composer, made a huge and important issue for the country in which he lived, - he made Belarusian clear for all, and a song of “Pesniary“ - same just the anthology of the Belarusian poetry: “Wash rodna kutnut“ Yaqub Kolos and “Aleksandryn“ of Petrusya of the Brow, “Veronika“ of Maxim Bogdanovich and “Spadchyna“ (Inheritance) of Janka Kupala, “Zavushnitsa“ (Ear ring) of Maxim Tank and “You dreamed in the spring me“ Mikhail Shushkevich. And how many picturesque songs he wrote on verses national, having made them modern, fashionable! Who did not hear how he “Mowed Yas to a konyushin (clover)“?!

Yes, it seems, about writers conversation began, and passed to the composer … Now you understand why - it, the musician, beautifully, easily and seriously popularized our literature, our language.

And how many new were sung by Mulyavin and his team muzyk on verses and music of other, non Belarusian composers. He as - as if hurried to tell rather and as much as possible that there is such country beautiful, rich with the history and culture - Belarus. Halls of Russia, America, Israel, other countries where there live Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians, echoed “Bialowieza Forest“, “Belarus“, “Shout of a bird“.

Now one of streets in the center of Minsk bears his name. This street, by the way, adjoins Yaqub Kolos Square. Here and philharmonic hall in which many years the Russian nice person from the city of Sverdlovsk - Vladimir Mulyavin worked and created our Belarusian culture. With songs of “Pesniary“ and we in Minsk have a disk a big rarity in shops now.

And here - our pride, our youth, our lyrics, soul of the Belarusian people - Maxim Bogdanovich! He also lived - that life what short - twenty six years … Belarusian poet, publicist, literary critic, translator, classic of the Belarusian literature and modern literary Belarusian! What?!

I cannot read this poem, I can only sing. It is very melodious and sincere song on Dmitry Voytyushkevich`s music.

Fortunately, to great happiness, and, strangely enough, and, probably, thanking in many respects to same “Pesniary“ and Vladimir Georgiyevich Mulyavin, Belarusian becomes in Belarus popular, native. It is more and more at us schools belorusskoyazychny, the youth talks on belaruskay to mova, verses are written, songs are sung, the country straightens shoulders, getting from pockets, from shkatulochek birch bark the pride and the original culture.

Yesterday the son - the ninth-grader was abused (!) at school for the fact that it fills in the diary on Belarusian. On what he parried safely: “We have two languages of state: Russian and Belarusian“!

And my children, one son - at all not having the Belarusian roots, the second - the Belarusian only on a half, always were and remain patriots of this country. They perfectly know history of the country and language, read and know the Belarusian authors, and classics and contemporaries, won and now win prizes and awards at the Olympic Games on history and culture, are proud of Belarus, study it up and down, and, the main thing, and others with pleasure about the homeland are told.

I hear how the son purrs “Incorporated bank lyubits Belarus to May m_ly, a treba ¢ different edges pabyvats. I understand a tsyaper, z I will dig a chama zhura?l_ to lyatsyats...“ and me it becomes quiet. Though my family already already made some contribution to history of Belarus.

I hope that the slogan “to Kuplyaytsa to a belaruskaa! “ it will be possible to paraphrase and in “Read the Belarusian!“, because will read that. And not only classics, but also contemporaries - the Belarusian authors are recognized in the near future by all cultural world!
