Expo 2010, Shanghai. In what idea of an exhibition?

Before a trip on a world exhibition of the Expo 2010 in Shanghai I did not even think of to what I present the future in what city I want to live. Frequent movement and comfortable life - life in Suzhou quite suited me. I never thought that visit of an exhibition can change my idea of life, of people and the countries. Two busy days in pavilions of the Expo turned the attitude towards themselves and to people around. How many unexpected opening, adventures, grief and disappointments the exhibition presented...

Unfortunately, could not see all pavilions. 240 countries presented the models of the cities of the future. 240 grandiose architectural constructions. I think, not less than a month is required to visit everything and not to jump very quickly. Very hot in Shanghai, huge distances tire. It is necessary to stand in kilometer turns and to stoically sustain closeness. Then for a short time to become the witness of the tremendous presentation, having forgotten about tortures in cool halls. Or, on the contrary, disappointedly to leave the boring hall, regretting that in vain waited in the exhausting scorching heat for.

Spirit of an innovation and cultural interaction - important mission of the Expo which became to World War I an exhibition on a city subject. The Expo emblem - a symbol of a big family of all mankind. Three figures hold together hands, showing a variety of world cultures.

A mascot - Haipao (Hai Bao), a figure in the form of the Chinese hieroglyph designating “people“.

Main thematic directions:

1. Mixture of various cultures in the city.

2. Economic prosperity of the city.

3. Innovations of science and equipment in the city.

4. Modernization of city residential districts.

5. Interaction of the cities and rural areas.

The Expo in Shanghai acquaints visitors with culture of the different countries. Though, of course, the exhibition first of all allowed China as to developing country to show the achievements. It expresses expectations of people of the whole world about future development of China.

The rules are inherent in each culture. To judge people and culture, for a start it is useful to touch its sources. East people have a concept “to“: any phenomenon, occupation is “to“.

What reflects the Chinese history? The invention of paper, gunpowder, emergence of silk fabric, writing, construction of palaces, the Great Wall, a calligraphy - art of writing of hieroglyphs and, of course, the Great silk way. Special line of China are gardens, they recreate deep and ancient representation of the world. The magnificence they take a place of honor in the Chinese legends, poetry and painting. In the cities of China gardens are the idealized, ancient and magic world of a metaphor, illusion and the imagination.

But me it did not happen to visit the Chinese pavilion. The angry police officer blocked the road and showed on the plate. It turned out that an entrance strictly under tickets which need to be reserved in advance. Right there were enterprising Chinese with tickets. But it is possible to get only for money. The bargaining as on a market, began with 400 yuans (about 73 dollars) and reached 100 yuans on one person.

Did not buy. From the principle! Why I have to pay speculators when I paid 160 yuans for an entrance on the Expo?

It is difficult to believe that in the country where there was free access in any museums, gardens, office buildings etc., there is a problem with visit of the pavilion. Addressed to information center of an exhibition. The very young Chinese woman explained that reservation takes place every morning exactly at 9 o`clock and that people gather from 5 in the morning to buy the ticket. The number of tickets is limited. There are a lot of persons interested to visit the pavilion of the homeland. The girl, the official representative, confidentially told that in the Chinese pavilion there is nothing interesting, and you should not worry from - about the fact that it is impossible to get there. There is such humdrum of life.

And still, I want to note the high organization of holding an exhibition. The Chinese heads were seriously prepared for a meeting of millions of guests. By an Expo it is built intelligently. It was not casual, according to official figures, 4 billion dollars - twice more, than are spent for the Beijing Olympic Games.

The territory of an exhibition is equipped with the most advanced infrastructures. What is only cost by sprays under the bridge and under canopies, creating a light breeze and cooling the heated air. The exhibition of the Expo is equipped with information offices, restaurants, snackbars with available to the prices, rooms for mothers with children and service for disabled people. Toilets almost continually.

The care of children, elderly and sick people, disabled people especially was evident. For them and tickets are cheaper, and pass them out of turn.

An Expo in Shanghai - a great event for economic, scientific, technological and cultural interactions. An Expo - an important platform for display of historical experience of each country, an exchange of creative ideas, reflection of spirit of the nation which is looking forward.

The person is never satisfied what has. This process of knowledge advances it to new searches. It moves to progress forward, comprehending unknown, disclosing the productive forces. The person throughout all history aspires to the better life. All of us are descendants of the survived travelers, innovators, those who went for the new horizons. “The spirit of the nation is... general spirit in a certain form“, - Hegel wrote. The form of spirit of the nation was also presented by the countries at an exhibition of the Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
