As well as why to grow up in the winter a green grass? Everyone, probably, noticed

in the spring: once the animal comes to a pasture, to a green grass, they change for several days. Their dim wool becomes brilliant, so the state improves, health is restored. Noticed, has to be, as the bird gets prettier from an additive in a greens forage. Such is its force. And greens can be grown up from grain and in the winter in simulated conditions and, feeding it, to thereby increase efficiency of animals, to improve reproduction of posterity and resilience of young growth, to reduce incidence.

In personal economy fresh greens can be given as additional improving top dressing. For preparation of this type of a forage it is possible to use such cultures as barley, oats, wheat, rye, a sorghum, corn, peas, Vick, a rank, soy, and also Wicky`s mixes with barley or peas with barley. Grain has to be good viability, it is not lower than 80%. Before cultivation take it in the warm room not less than a month.

All process of receiving a forage can be divided into three stages: grain preparation, prorashchivany it and cultivation. Preparation includes washing of grain in flowing water for cleaning of dirt and various impurity. Having convinced that grain pure, fill in it on 2 h with pink solution of potassium permanganate for disinfecting of a surface of seeds. Then merge this solution, and grain scatter a layer no more than 15 cm in any ware, periodically spraying it water, and cover with wet leaky matter even better - a sacking or a gauze. Air temperature at the same time is desirable at the level of 23 - 24 °. In colder place germination of grain is slowed down.

If all conditions are met, then by the end of a prorashchivaniye (in 24 h) the bulk of grain has to give primary back from 1 to 8 mm. From this point it is possible to start the third, most long and responsible stage - cultivation of a green forage. Prepare trays - rastiln (easy tare boxes with walls 6 - 8 cm high will approach), which bottom and walls cover with a polyethylene film. On a new film make longitudinal sections an edge in order that water and nutritious solution did not stand in a tray. Wash out boxes and a film before laying of grain water and pink solution of potassium permanganate, then dry.

the Couched grain spread out

an even layer 2 - 2,5 cm thick at the bottom of trays and put them to the warm damp place. You watch that the surface of seeds did not dry up for what periodically humidify it. Water grain from a watering can 2 - 3 times a day with specially prepared solution. If to continue to water, but not solution, then productivity and nutritional value of a green forage considerably will decrease. The simplest and available nutritious solution can be prepared from 100 g nitrofosk and 50 l of water. The solution prepared (to dissolve on the following copy-book in 100 l   will be the best; waters):

  potassium; nitrate - 100 g

  Superphosphate; double - 75 g

  Urea; - 16 g

  Magnesium; sulfate - 15 g

Boric   acid; - 0,2 g

Manganese sulfate - 0,2 g

Zinc sulfate - 0,1 g

Copper sulfate - 0,1 g

Solution should not stand at the bottom, otherwise the forage will decay. For the same reasons it is desirable not to apply the used nutritious solution repeatedly. In 4 days in a tray - the rastilena you will see a dense brush of sprouts. If till this time of sterns grew up in the dark, then sprouts will be yellow. Put them on light or arrange illumination with electrolamps or fluorescent lamps. The lighting will be stronger, the more valuably receive a forage. It can be considered ready to feeding when plants reach height of 18 - 23 cm. One day before the end of cultivation of a forage stop having watered with nutritious solution. Plants will take away the moisture remains from a tray surface, and the forage will turn out the best quality.

Feed an animal all weight, that is both greens, and the grain remains, and roots. When crushing correctly grown up forage pleasantly smells of a fresh cucumber. It is recommended to be added to a daily diet in such quantity (on the head): to a bird - 30 g, to calfs, pigs and lambs - to 500 g, to cows - on 3 - 5 kg and more. From 1 kg of grain about 6 kg of a green forage turn out, and in comparison with the put grain of sterns it is enriched with additional amount of nutrients. Trays - wash out rastiln and a polyethylene film water, then lilac solution of potassium permanganate, dry and right there again use for cultivation of the following party of a forage.

Supervision reveal on average to 20% big efficiency of house living creatures when feeding it a grass during the winter period. Changes are noticeable even visually - at a bird plumage brightness, at cattle gloss of wool increases and at that and others activity, unusual to this period. Good luck.
