Ecology and we. How to live in harmony with the nature?
the Majority of us became city dwellers for a long time and perceives the nature as the vacation spot. And we not just part of the nature, she depends on us more and more and suffers from our stupid, and even just criminal activity. You should not forget that harm to the nature is done not only harmful emissions of production, the mountain of garbage, pollution of the rivers and seas, deforestation, extermination of animals and plants, but also our trips to the days off on shish kebabs or for mushrooms. It is natural that the harm done by fire made by us is incommensurable that “ gives “ to the nature chemical plant or the ground for household waste, but it nevertheless we will feel.
You never paid attention as mummy, walking with the child in park, suddenly with exclamation “ faugh, what muck “ something diligently presses a leg? The child is susceptible and will quickly acquire that the butterfly flitting on a clearing - it is lovely and beautiful, and what creeps under legs, - is vile and lives is not worthy. The lesson learned in the childhood will remain for the rest of life: “ I define as who are worthy to live and raise on this earth “.
Recently the nature even more often lets us know that it is offended on our stupid activity: that snow will drop out where it was not seen never before - in Africa or in the south of Asia, rains will flood Europe, the drought will leave enormous regions without harvest.
Recently more and more people begin to understand that it is necessary to learn to live in harmony with the nature, to submit to laws of ecology - sciences about our general house. Term “ ecology “ the German scientist Ernst Gekkel offered in 1866, having given him definition as science about the relation of all live to environment. In Greek “ oikos “ - dwelling, house, residence, and “ logos “ - word, doctrine.
We will not go deep into a scientific jungle, the essence of ecology can be formulated one short phrase - “ the person, do not do much harm “. But, unfortunately, we harm much and sophisticated, doing to the nature irreplaceable harm. We already got used that every summer the television shows the mass of the fires destroying thousands of hectares of the woods. And the most part of the fires - work of the person.
Not extinguished stub or a piece of coal, the bottle from transparent glass thrown on a dry grass (effect of magnifying glass) into dry windy weather can turn in several minutes the quiet green wood into fiery hell in which the mass of live will die.
Scientists counted that 1 hectare of the wood absorbs not less than 5 tons of carbon dioxide a year, allocating 10 tons of oxygen for the same time. For an example, in one hour of hectares of the wood will absorb all carbon dioxide which is emitted at breath of 200 people. Convincing figures, isn`t that so? And similar examples it is possible to give a set.
Do not forget that in city parks and squares of living beings can be not much less, than in the wild wood, but they are much more vulnerable and entirely depend on a human whim. Our ancestors formulated the basic principles of behavior of the person in relation to the nature for a long time. Give and we will follow them.
Try not to hold houses of wild animals. To turn them in house in most cases it will not turn out. Most often your inept “ care “ for them it is disastrous. If decide to help a wild animal, think and whether you will be able to make it, without having done much harm to it. It is not necessary to bring from the wood of the grown-up baby birds or cubs of animals at all. In most cases they are not thrown by parents, parents are simply busy with search of a forage.
It is not necessary to approach animal holes and bird`s nests if in them there is a young growth which usually gives itself(himself) peep. If your dog is brought badly up, in the spring and at the beginning of summer do not lower her from a lead in park, the wood, on waste grounds where there can be bird`s nests or young growth of wild animals. Try not to create excess noise which frightens off birds and animals during this period. The cubs who were not in time to escape after adults can be lost and die.
You make thrifty use also of the least inhabitants of the wood. Do not tear off a web, just bypass them. Do not destroy ant hills and do not step on ant tracks. Needlessly do not overturn stones, snags, old logs, do not break mossy stubs. Under them and in them there lives a large number of living beings. If you want to be convinced of it, then sit down for a while aside. The alarm caused by your steps will abate, and on stubs lizards will creep out, myriapods will bustle on the affairs, there will be bugs, birds will begin to fuss, the mouse will get out of a mink - the wood will begin to live the usual life.
For the nature all living beings are important and necessary, all have the niche and difficult interrelations with others. Among them is not present “ vile and opposite “ therefore it is not necessary to press anybody on anybody to step. The hairy caterpillar frightening by sight will turn into the beauty tomorrow - a butterfly and will pollinate flowers.
Try not to break the forest soil without need. Do not forget that the passing car condenses with wheels it, leading of many living beings to death. Exhaust gases do not bring to the wood benefit also. It is desirable to go on the wood on already available footpaths, without laying new without need. If you go on off road terrain, try not to break and not to tread plants.
There is no need to break plants that just to admire them. For this purpose it is enough to bend to a flower which in habitat will always look it better, than at you in hands. If there is a need of a plant to break - for example, when collecting medicinal herbs, do not arrange “ total weeding “ break them gradually in different places, trying not to do harm to other plants.
Gathering mushrooms, berries, nuts, try not to do to the nature excess harm. You do not destroy everything around to make the way to a desired mushroom or a berry brush. Do not break all berries and nuts to uniform, except you, a lot who reckons on them. Do not forget that in the nature all plants are necessary, it belongs both to fly agarics, and to pale toadstools, and to various mushrooms - tinder funguses.
By the way, gathering the birch sap loved by us is not harmless to trees at all. It is difficult to refuse this delicacy, but be not overzealous, and surely cover wounds on birches, best of all the garden thief, it is possible also usual plasticine.
It is clear, that harm which the specific tourist can cause to the nature the hunter or the mushroom picker, is usually small, but whenever possible it is necessary to try to minimize it to a limit. The nature generously shares with us the gifts, but waits also to itself for careful attitude and care. Do not forget Antoine`s word Saint - Ekzyuperi: “ We are all... on the same planet - all of us crew of one ship “.
