How to affect musical abilities of the child till his birth?

Those who perceive such publications noncritically are encouraged and want to receive unambiguous recommendations as as they should undertake during pregnancy. Others who perceive newspaper articles on these subjects as a pseudo-scientific funny thing share the doubts, and even seek to mock at credulous. How to answer that and another?

Yes, scientific experiments in this sphere were not put. But life for centuries experimented, and we can estimate and consider results of its spontaneous experiments. In memoirs and biographies of celebrated personalities it is worth paying attention to what is known of a way of life of their mothers during pregnancy and how it corresponds to the subsequent manifestations of musical abilities? As a rule, we find the following in biographies: at musically gifted people mother till their birth actively played music or was in a situation of live playing music.

During the period preceding appearance of the child on light for its musical future has indisputable value an acoustic component of a way of life of mother. Formation of the hearing aid and nervous system of the ripening fruit happens taking into account sound parameters of environment. For example, if during pregnancy the woman long is in noisy shop, the probability to give birth to the child hard of hearing (a consequence of protective reaction of the formed organism to the increased loudness of a sound background) increases.

Force of this factor is known according to many biographies of gifted musicians. The most impressive example - background of the birth of the ingenious composer A. N. Scriabin (1872 - 1915). His mother was the giving concerts pianist and almost before the childbirth did not stop the performances (so, and house rehearsal work which demands daily hours-long playing a grand piano). Apparently, features of talent of Scriabin directly depended on special conditions in the first months of formation of its nervous and hearing aid.

But Scriabin`s case - only one of a long line of the known facts. The resistant long-term tradition of house playing music in noble families of Russia provided steadily high level of musical and general development of representatives of this estate, emergence in it global professional musicians. Almost all considerable Russian composers of the 19th century (from M. Glinka to S. Rachmaninov) are natives of this environment. In nobility of Russia in a set musical dynasties were formed. Certainly, not all children born in families where parents played music became hereditary professional musicians. Such units. But the others became hereditary cultural people.

There is a wise saying which different sources is attributed to the Hungarian composer Zoltan by Kodaly, to the Moscow pianist Heinrich Neygauz, still to someone from the famous teachers: musical training of the child begins in nine months prior to the birth of his mother. The statement paradoxical at first sight is based on the established vital facts. And if at all times musically exceptional children more likely were born in families of musicians, then, apparently, not only biological heredity played a role (the susceptibility to music is genetically put in each person) here, but acoustic situation during pre-natal formation of a fruit. And it, unlike genes, entirely in our power.

Normal musical abilities are shown by all healthy children, irrespective of acoustic conditions of pre-natal development. And here uncommon, phenomenal abilities more likely arise when pre-natal life of a fruit passed in a situation of live playing music. A conclusion is clear for those who dream to give rise musically - the talented child and long ago is formulated in the Russian proverb “God helps those who help themselves!“.
