There are two main types of a drainage - system of a deep and superficial drainage. The drainage can be closed (with use of drainage pipes), opened (drainage ditches) or zasypny (gravel, brick). To collect water from drainage system it is necessary to design a drainage well.

The most primitive way is an open drainage. That to make it, it is necessary to dig through open drainage ditches 0,5 m wide along a site and 0,6 - 0,7 m in depth. Walls of a ditch mow at an angle 30 º. From them it is dewatered in a ditch, joint with other sites. The open drainage gives the chance to take away surface water during thawing of snow and a rain. Open drainage ditches will solve a water drain problem when the site settles down on a slope. The drainage ditches which are dug out opposite to a slope intercept the water which is flowing down from above and take away it for borders of the land plot in a joint longitudinal waterway.

For the closed drainage dig a trench of 0,5 - 1,5 m in depth and 0,25 - 0,5 m wide. It is dug out with a small bias towards a natural waterway or towards drainage. The bottom of a trench is covered crushed stone and sand. Further stack drainage pipes with a winding from geotextiles on the prepared pillow. Then the trench is filled with crushed stone and sand, forming the water bearing layer. Further fill up with soil, and over it put a turf layer.
